In 1999 Star Wars hit the big screen yet again as Episode One - The Phantom Menace played to the worldwide audience. Stunning special effects with breath-taking lightsaber battles and a gripping storyline sealed the movies success in the cinemas. Liam Neeson (Qui Gon) portrayed a silent, but powerful and butch image to the Jedi, whilst Ray Park (Darth Maul) lent the Dark Side a menacing and vengeful image. The perfect balance.

Hasbro took over the Kenner toy company and continued to produce the quality toys that we have come to expect as standard. They have milked the license for all it's worth and you can get about 20 versions of Qui Gon's and Darth Mauls in various costumes, sizes and hair-styles! And why not!
